Col 1:5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
Col 1:6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth.
You probably may have heard it before, when someone tries to make a genuine and sincere point and utters a frank statement as: “I tell you the gospel truth”.
Grammatically, this statement may be correct, but spiritually speaking from the Christian point of view, it is a tautological remark.
Listen, the gospel is the truth and the truth is the gospel. The truth and the gospel are one and the same.
When you talk of the gospel, you are talking of nothing but the truth.
The gospel is simply the truth wearing a religious uniform.
Talking about the truth, no one aligns himself with the truth and loses in life.
Listen, the truth is not a concept, it is a living force that has the capacity of transforming lives.
Many who were headed for destruction accepted the truth and were redeemed.
In all amorphous, nebulous situations, the truth is reputable to have brought form and sanity.
Paul was talking to the Romans in Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
