A Spanish woman was fatally struck Friday as she crossed a bustling Manhattan street, police said.
The 57-year-old victim was walking in the crosswalk on W. 39th St. at 10th Ave. at about 5 p.m. when a flatbed truck turning left slammed into her, cops said.
First responders rushed the woman to Bellevue Hospital, but she could not be saved.
Truck driver Rance Clyburn, 28, of Patterson, N.J, stayed at the scene.
Cops charged him late Friday with failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care.
Police said the victim was from Spain.
Authorities had not identified her late Friday night.
